Mary L. Peterson, 90, passed away peacefully Monday, December 1st at Billings Clinic, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on February 25, 1935, in Williston, North Dakota. Later in life, she made her home in Billings, Montana, where she raised her daughters, Debbie and Rae Ann. While Mary had a spitfire spirit, she also had a gentle heart, finding joy in collecting teapots, porcelain dolls, and the quiet art of quilting. Above all else, her greatest treasure was her family. She found deep happiness in watching her grandchildren laugh and in gathering loved ones together around good food and warm conversation. She is truly going to be missed.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Rae Ann Peterson; granddaughters Rollena Hjorth (husband Jon) and Cami Fasching (husband Ryan); great-grandchildren Logan and Caleb Fasching, Destiny, Gavin, Zander, and Abbi Hjorth; and great-great-granddaughters Jocelyn, Aubrey, and Maddie Jones.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Duprey.
In accordance with Mary’s wishes, no services will be held. Her family finds peace in knowing she has been welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord.
